I bow down to Sri Krishna, who is the Master of the Universe, beloved son of Vasudeva, who vanquished Kamsa and Chanura, who brings immense joy to his mother, Devaki.

Pranams from Dr. R J Kalpana, Welcome to the study of The Bhagavad Gita.

This is a sacred chapter where Shri Krishna undertakes to explain to humanity of His special manifestations to protect and guide his devotees and what is the etiquette to approach the Divine and even after Arjuna specifically requests Shri Krishna to describe in detail, Shri Krishna reiterates that His manifestations are infinite and only the important ones are enough to name and to understand.

Shri Krishna in His role as a Guru offers to once again explain the secrets of Dharma and spiritual evolution because his disciple, Arjuna’s heart is full of love and devotion and out of His love for Arjuna’s welfare.
